“Twilight or dawn is when nature brings out it most colourful pallet changing colours with reckless abundance only to mellow with the rising or setting sun.”
John Callaghan
To express thoughts, feelings and imagination through an object or impression.
The effects of colour on the on emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing has been documented widely and throughout my journey in photography I have found myself drawn to capture the essence of an object, nature, or scene, in which the emphasis on colour combinations may trigger an emotional response.
This series was inspired by the bright and luminous colours that gracefully danced across my eyes while mediating to a beautiful gentle piece of music in my favourite light infused room. The music seemed to enhance the choreography of the movement of the various colours shifting across the back of my eyes.
That particular moment had me creating the following images, during the Autumn Covid 19 lockdown from my home. The beautiful colours speak of courage, joy and positivity. They remind me that after the season of winter, the longer days, the brighter light brings life and love to all living beings, we start to thrive and grow physically and mentally. I hope you enjoy the simplicity of them.
